The arts are very much alive at Basically Beethoven! As we celebrate the timeless legacy of Beethoven on his birthday, December 16th, we are reaching out to you with a special appeal. Beginning today through December 31st, you can help us continue our mission to bring the joy of music to our community by supporting the Fine Arts Chamber Players (FACP) with a tax-deductible donation through our year-end fundraising campaign.
At the heart of our musical endeavors is the Basically Beethoven Festival, our 42-year-old series that has become a cornerstone of our commitment to enriching lives through chamber music. The festival not only pays tribute to Beethoven's enduring influence but also showcases the talents of exceptional musicians and introduces the beauty of chamber music to a diverse audience.
This year has been particularly noteworthy, with 11 free chamber music concerts (Basically Beethoven Festival and Hallam Family Concerts) reaching more than 2,800 people and featuring 35 professional musicians alongside eight Rising Stars. Scott Cantrell of The Dallas Morning News hailed each of this summer’s Basically Beethoven concerts for their “precision and pizzazz” and “great poetry” - all while reaching our largest audience ever. We could not be more thrilled.
Now, as we approach the end of the year, we are asking for your support to ensure the continuation and growth of our programs. Your generosity allows us to organize more concerts, support emerging talents, and extend our reach in providing free music education to our community schools.
