About the event

This concert will be the second Hallam Family Concert of the 2023 - 2024 season (HFC24), Saturday, November 4th at the fantastic Wilshire Baptist Church. Registration is open.

Season Theme: The Ties that Bind: Exploring the threads that connect us to each other and the larger world.

Longtime friends and duo partners Maria Schleuning and Jolyon Pegis unite for a program of works for violin and cello, highlighting the interconnection of color, sound, and voice between the two instruments.

Program Title: Threads

  • Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello
  • Rheinhold Glière’s Huit Morceaux, Op. 39
  • Saint-Saëns’ La Muse et le Poète

The Hallam Family Concert series consists of 7 monthly free concerts on Saturday afternoons at 3 o'clock throughout the winter months.
