July 22: Four Hornsmen of the Apocalypse

Don’t miss your opportunity to see this ensemble with local ties. Since 1998, the Hornsmen have captivated audiences with their musicianship and comical repartee. They present some of opera’s most-loved works arranged for their instruments, including: the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, Rossini‘s William Tell overture, the Overture to Die Fledermaus by Strauss,  works by Bizet, Delibes, Verdi, Giménezand a take on Wagner by way of Peter Schickele (P.D.Q. Bach).

Rising Star William Sprinkle, oboe, joined by pianist Eduardo Rojas performs the first movement of Haydn‘s Oboe Concerto in C Major, the second movement of Beethoven‘s Concert for Oboe, and the third moment of Oboe Sonata by Saint-Saëns.
