Fine Arts Chamber Players has responded to the emerging needs of music educators in area public schools by developing two new pilot programs. The first program exposes middle school students to professional musicians in a master class setting so that they may receive the benefits of private instruction and the inspiration and guidance that role models can provide. The second program fills a need for music education at the kindergarten level with instrument demonstration in an interactive classroom setting.
MASTER
CLASSES artists work with 10-12 Middle School students who play the same
instrument, such as flute, trumpet, violin or clarinet. The artists are
professional musicians who work with the Dallas Opera Orchestra, the Dallas
Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony and others.
Program duration: 60 minutes
Target audience: Middle School
MUSIC

and visual props to reinforce the alphabet letters. Participatory activities
include assembling a stringed instrument, group singing and movement to
music.
