Basically Beethoven Festival Every Sunday
afternoon in July, the Fine Arts Chamber Players presents the Basically
Beethoven Festival, a series of free classical chamber music
concerts. Professional musicians from across North Texas perform inside
the air-conditioned Rosine Hall at the Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland
Road.
The afternoon begins at 2:30 p.m. with For the Love of Music,
a twenty-minute pre-concert recital series. For the Love of Music
showcases young talented musicians, giving them an opportunity to perform
before a wider audience. Fine Arts Chamber Players provides a venue for
these gifted young artists as they pursue careers in music. The main concerts
begin at 3:00 p.m.
The concerts are free to the public, but require a reservation. Upon arrival
at the Arboretum, concert-goers will check in at the main gate and will
be directed to Rosine Hall.

Since 1981, Fine Arts Chamber Players has presented free classical music
programs for the enrichment of North Texas area residents. Concerts annually
feature over fifty outstanding musicians drawn from the Dallas Symphony
Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Opera Orchestra
and area university faculties. The For The Love of Music
series begins at 2:30 pm, just prior to the main concerts at 3:00 pm.
Doors open at 2:00 pm. For almost a quarter of a century, the festival
has filled each Sunday afternoon in July with music in the middle of summer
– without the heat. As with all of Fine Arts Chamber Players’
events, audience members may dress casually and bring the whole family
to these concerts. Seating is limited so please remember to make your
reservations early.
