DART Rail expansion
smoothes connections
The temporary shuttle service will accommodate construction that will result
in a more direct rail route in and out of the subway under North Central Expressway.
In addition to making train trips faster and smoother, this project and modifications
planned at downtown stations during the next two years will make the system
more convenient as it makes way for new Green Line service.
When complete in 2010, the 28-mile Green Line will connect Pleasant Grove, downtown Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton. The first phase, between downtown Dallas and Fair Park, is scheduled to open September 2009.
